Orpyx Wins Two Top Honors at The JWC/WUWHS Awards

Considered by those in the industry as ‘The Olympics of Wound Care’, the World Union of Wound Healing Societies (WUWHS), in conjunction with the Journal of Wound Care (JWC), announces the JWC WUWHS Awards celebrating the achievements over the previous four years across 15 different categories.

Oh, what a night! Considered by those in the industry as ‘The Olympics of Wound Care’, the World Union of Wound Healing Societies (WUWHS), in conjunction with the Journal of Wound Care (JWC), announces the JWC WUWHS Awards celebrating the achievements over the previous four years across 15 different categories. Orpyx was honored as the Gold Medalists in two categories: Orpyx SI Sensory Insoles for the “Most Innovated Dressing or Device” category and Dr. Breanne Everett (Orpyx CEO) for “Innovations in Diabetic Foot Care".

During her acceptance speech, Orpyx’s President and CEO, Dr. Breanne Everett had this to say:

We felt there was a huge opportunity for using smart technology to really improve the way that we care for people living with diabetes. With all the resources that existed in smart technologies and innovations that continue to happen in the space, it was clear that we could do a better job of enabling patients to maintain healthy feet for longer, be able to persist with their mobility for a longer period of time, and really avoid dreaded complications with diabetes and diabetic foot disease.

The Most Innovative Dressing or Device was awarded to Orpyx’s flagship product, the Orpyx SI Sensory Insoles. Orpyx recently released exciting updates for their Orpyx SI Sensory Insoles which includes step count measurements and wireless charging, along with plantar pressure, temperature, and wear time. Patients can leave the insoles in their shoes with wireless charging and the extended battery life only requires the patient to charge their insoles once a week.
